At CDIB we’re firmly convinced that the quality of corporate governance is a prime indicator of an organization’s real worth. By instituting clearly defined and closely followed corporate governance guidelines, we protect our shareholders’ interests and ultimately enhance the value of our organization.
Our Articles of Incorporation define CDIB’s organizational structure and departmental functions. We have also set up an independent Internal Audit Department. To avoid any potential conflict of interest, the head of the internal audit department is not permitted to perform any duties not connected with the internal audit functions.
CDIB adheres to the guidelines set out by the Securities & Futures Bureau of the Financial Supervisory Commission and the Bankers Association regarding best practice and the principles for corporate governance. Implementation includes:
The
appointment of independent directors to enhance
corporate governance. |
Increased
transparency of corporate operations and financial
information via updates and disclosures on the CDIB
official website, published financial statements,
annual reports and improved interactions with investors. |
The
strengthening of risk management functions and internal
controls. |
